Now that I have seen the first four episodes of Doctor Who (Series 8), I feel I can make a personal decision.
I like it. I like the new Doctor. I like the mysterious, questionable character and the near distrust from those around him. He is new and different. Capaldi does a wonderful job making me question every movement, every line, every thought. I am rather happy with how things are going so far and I look forward to seeing where everything goes from here.
I saw a headline somewhere saying that Americans have a difficult time understanding Twelve’s accent. That’s utter bullshit. We can understand him just fine. The accent is gorgeous and it gives new life to his character.
His accent is lovely and makes him that much more adorable.
