FEEL FREE TO WEIGHT IN ON THE DEBATE
On my other blog, someone asked me something interesting. He knows my dislike of Red Hood and had to point out my warming up to Deadpool.
“aren’t they, like, the same thing? They both have that good/bad thing going on. They both kill bad guys and sometimes take hits on good guys. Aren’t they both doing for the same thing? How can you like one but not he other?”
Well…no. I get a very different feeling reading Deadpool then I get from reading Red Hood. I think it helps with Deadpool being so lighthearted about things. He is always talking and cracking wise. He doesn’t FEEL like a jack ass, even when he is being one. Hood, on the other hand, doesn’t have that.
I can’t explain it but I really do enjoy Deadpool as a character despite is trigger happy, murderous ways. You can tell he wants to be good, somewhere deep, DEEP down in what is left of his heart and soul.
Anyone want to comment on the comparison? What do you think?

You have GOT to be fracking KIDDING! Titanic is 3D? Who’s bright idea was this and why hasn’t he been shot? Seriously, who? I fell asleep twice, TWICE, in the theaters when I was forced to see it. Do you know what kind of bad a movie has to be for someone to fall asleep though a ship sinking? It was nominated for 11 awards. It was supposedly the greatest thing since slice bread and, I have to admit, the effects of the time were the most amazing thing about it. But come on, 3D!?
Are we so hard up for good stories and movies that we must take (supposedly) stellar stories and cover their (supposed) greatness with some Hollywood gimmick just to sell more? Some movies are meant to be in 3D because the story plays into the effects. Avatar is a prime example. Star Wars is shaping up to be one and Guardians was perfect with the use of slow motion and 3D simultaneously. But some romance movie that just happens to have a sinking ship in it? It is an expensive gimmick to revive a tired story.

Get a clue, Hollywood. Just because you have a new toy doesn’t mean you have to use it on EVERY movie. That is what killed the some of the novelty the first time around: over use.
